Shuttles and Buses to and from Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE)
Since Ezeiza International Airport is not connected to Buenos Aires by the city’s extensive subway network (Subte), passengers relying on budget-friendly transportation options must choose between urban public buses (colectivos) and the private Manuel Tienda León shuttle services.
Urban buses are the cheapest way to travel from EZE Airport. However, their long travel times, frequent stops, and crowded conditions make them far less appealing than the Manuel Tienda León shuttles, which are faster, more comfortable, and better suited for travelers with luggage.
Low-Cost Urban Buses (Colectivos) from Ezeiza Airport
Four urban bus lines operate from Buenos Aires International Airport, connecting EZE with downtown Buenos Aires and nearby districts:
- Bus 8
- Bus 51
- Bus 394
- Bus 518
Bus lines 51, 394, and 518 depart from the bus stop located directly in front of Car Park E1. The stop for Bus Line 8 is situated opposite Parking Lot E1.
Bus Line 8 – Downtown Buenos Aires
Bus Line 8 is the only urban bus that reaches the heart of Buenos Aires, including Plaza del Congreso and Plaza de Mayo.
- Weekdays: every 32 minutes (07:00–20:52)
- Weekends & public holidays: every 60 minutes (07:00–21:00)
- Travel time: approximately 60–75 minutes in light traffic
Although Bus 8 is the most economical option, it is slow, frequently crowded, and offers no dedicated luggage space. Standing for long periods is common.
Important: Always choose Bus 8E (Expreso por Autopista), which travels via the highway. The alternative Bus 8A operates almost all day but follows local roads and takes roughly twice as long.
Other Urban Bus Lines
- Bus 51 – Connects EZE Airport with the Constitución district.
- Weekdays: every 30–40 minutes
- Saturdays: every 50–80 minutes (00:05–22:55)
- Sundays & holidays: every 60–90 minutes (02:25–23:55)
- Bus 394 – Runs to Correo Central, Monte Grande Railway Station, and Camino de Cintura.
- Operates 24/7
- Frequency: every 12 minutes
- Bus 518 – Serves Carlos Spegazzini via Barrio Uno, Ciudad de Ezeiza, and Hospital de Ezeiza.
- Operating hours: 04:00–23:40
- Frequency: every 10–15 minutes
Tip: When traveling by urban bus, always keep an eye on your belongings, as pickpocketing is common.
Manuel Tienda León Airport Shuttles
Compared to public buses, Manuel Tienda León shuttle services are significantly faster, more comfortable, and the preferred option for most international travelers arriving at EZE Airport.
The fleet consists of modern coaches with ample luggage space. These shuttles connect:
- Ezeiza Airport (EZE) with downtown Buenos Aires (Terminal Madero)
- Ezeiza Airport (EZE) with Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP)
Passengers must validate their tickets at the Manuel Tienda León counters located in the public area of the International Arrivals terminal.
- To Terminal Madero:

- Travel time: around 50 minutes (normal traffic)
