Aeroparque VIP Lounges (AEP): Access, Hours and Day Passes

Aeroparque has three VIP lounges, and one of them you can use for 3 hours without a boarding pass at all. Access runs through Priority Pass, bank cards, memberships or a paid day pass, and the rules differ per lounge. As of 2026 the details below apply.

Which lounges does Aeroparque have?

Three, in different parts of the building and aimed at different travellers.

• AMAE Lounge — the newest, opened in January 2024, with a space in the domestic pre-boarding area by gate 1 and a second area in the public zone.
• Aeroparque VIPClub — on the ground floor between arrivals and departures, open around the clock.
• Aerolíneas Argentinas lounge — the airline's own space, aimed at its premium cabins and frequent flyers.

That mix matters more than it sounds, because two of them sit landside and one is past security. Which you choose depends on when you arrive and what you are holding.

Can you use a lounge without flying?

At AMAE's public-zone space, yes. It sits in the open part of the terminal and is accessible whether your flight is domestic, international, or — unusually — not happening at all. The VIPClub is also landside, between arrivals and departures, which puts it within reach before you check in.

This is genuinely useful at Aeroparque. It is a city-centre airport where people arrive early to beat traffic, and a landside lounge means you can settle before security rather than after. It also works for someone meeting a delayed arrival.

How do you get in?

Four routes, and most travellers have one without realising it.

Check your card before paying. Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass, Visa's airport programme and American Express all open the AMAE doors, and plenty of mid-tier travel cards include one of those without the holder ever using it.

How long can you stay?

Three hours at AMAE. That cap is the detail most guides leave out, and it changes the calculation: a lounge is for a normal early arrival or a moderate delay, not for waiting out a five-hour disruption. Arrive too early and the clock starts before your flight is even called.

Time it deliberately. If your delay is long, the sensible pattern is to spend the first stretch elsewhere in the terminal and move into the lounge for the last three hours before boarding.

What does a day pass cost?

It varies by lounge and by date, and it is sold through the official airport store rather than at the door. You pick the lounge, the travel date and an approximate arrival time, pay online, and the pass arrives by email. Quoted prices include IVA.

The VIPClub sells day passes too, though subject to availability. Because these rates move — and because Argentine pricing generally does — check the current figure at the point of booking rather than trusting a number quoted in an article. That includes this one.

What is actually inside?

Standard lounge fare rather than anything extravagant. The VIPClub offers a bar with complimentary drinks, newspapers, power sockets and Wi-Fi — the things that make an hour pass comfortably. AMAE's proposition is similar, with the domestic space designed around passengers already through security.

Set expectations sensibly for a compact city airport. These are places to sit, work and have a drink away from a busy departures hall, not destination lounges with showers and restaurants attached. On that basis they do the job.

Is a lounge worth it at Aeroparque?

It depends on how you got a pass. If your card already includes lounge access, it is straightforwardly worth using — the terminal gets busy and seating is finite. If you are paying cash for a short domestic hop, the value is thinner, since you may only be inside for an hour before boarding.

The strongest case is an early arrival driven by traffic. Buenos Aires traffic is unpredictable enough that many people leave a wide margin to reach the airport, and a landside lounge turns that dead margin into something usable. If you would rather remove the traffic uncertainty itself, a pre-booked airport transfer handles the trip on a fixed time and price.

How does this compare with Ezeiza?

Ezeiza is the international airport about 47 km away, with its own lounges and its own scale — long-haul departures mean longer waits and a stronger case for paying. Aeroparque's lounges are built around short domestic and regional flights, so the time you spend in them is naturally shorter.

Can you bring a guest or luggage in?

Guest rules follow whatever gets you through the door, not the lounge itself. Card and membership programmes each set their own policy on companions, and a guest who is not covered is normally charged at the walk-up rate — so check your own programme's terms before promising anyone a seat.

Luggage is the other practical limit. These are compact spaces in a busy city airport, and large cases are awkward rather than welcome; travellers report crowding at peak times. If you are carrying everything with you between the two airports, that is worth factoring in.

What should you check before you go?

Three things. Confirm which lounge your card programme actually covers, because they are not interchangeable. Note whether the space you are heading for is landside or past security, since that decides when you can use it. And keep the three-hour cap in mind when you decide what time to arrive.
